From MVP to Your First Paying Clients

Onboarding those first clients is mostly unglamorous backend work: sign-up and authentication, roles and permissions so each client only ever sees their own data, tenant separation so one customer's mistake can't touch another's records, plan limits and billing hooks, transactional email, and an admin panel your team can actually run support from. I build these on Django and DRF, where most of it is well-trodden ground instead of something to invent under deadline.

The other half is being dependable enough to charge for: backups you have actually restored at least once, migrations that run without taking the site down, logging and error tracking that tell you a client hit a problem before they email you about it, and background jobs with Celery so one heavy report doesn't stall the whole app. None of this shows up on a landing page. All of it is what turns a first client into a second one.
